He has been involved representing many Brazilian exporters and importers of auto parts, chemicals and agricultural products. He is currently co-chairman of the Customs Law Committee of the American Bar Association and he has written many books on customs and trade matters, most recently, "Navigating U.S Customs Laws--What you need to know".
