The Brazil-Florida Business Council (" BFBC") is organizing in association  with JurItis/TOTVS a special program on Cybersecurity, Data Privacy/ Protection & Business Continuity Management. Speakers include: DOUGLAS B. BLOOM, PwC"s Director of Cybercrime and Breach Response practice and a member of the firm's financial crimes unity and MARCELO SOUCCAR, CEO and Partner of JurItis, TOTVS' American affiliate. TOTVS is the world's sixth largest software company.

DOUGLAS and MARCELO will discuss operations management and IT disaster recovery requirements that enhance business continuity. Disaster recovery plans sometimes focus on major events like hurricanes and earthquakes. By doing so, these plans oversee the most common threats: outages caused by system or process failures, power outages, equipment failures and misapplied software changes. 

Combined with cybersecurity, hacking and ransomware menaces, these common threats disrupt business operations. To maintain business continuity and ensure resilience, they will discuss the best practices and  their perspectives for planning ahead and reducing recovery downtime.

This event is slated to be held on Thursday, October 12th  at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, 255 Biscayne Blvd Way, 5th Floor. The program will  start at  4 pm with registrations, presentations and Q&A period followed by a networking cocktail  reception.
