His journey in technology began as an entrepreneur, co-founding a legal tech that served half of Brazil’s top law firms. The company was later acquired by TOTVS, one of the world’s largest software companies. At TOTVS, Marcelo rose from a Senior Strategy Manager to the C-level, building a strong foundation in both management and technology, while gaining broad and deep exposure to multiple industries and global markets. Throughout his career, Marcelo has launched products, led diverse global teams of over 500 people, and served as a C-level executive in both publicly traded companies and startups. After relocating to the United States, he launched TOTVS’s first channel in the country and began helping Brazilian software companies test product-market fit on the Southeast Coast. He partnered with Base Miami, GAA, and Staged Venture funds to evaluate and select SaaS companies at this stage of growth. This multi-year journey started with helping TOTVS test its product portfolio in the U.S. and continued through advisory and leadership roles with companies such as Thinc, Digibee, Alboom, and Accountfy. During this process, Marcelo joined Digibee as full-time COO with a mission to enter the U.S. market. He built a team that secured key lighthouse accounts and led the company through successful Series A and Series B funding rounds, supporting its expansion and completing its soft-landing cycle in the U.S. Back at TOTVS, Marcelo now focuses on expanding the company’s portfolio for the Supply Chain industry and the Legal segment. He holds a Master of Science in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Marcelo lives in Florida with his wife and two daughters. |
