A career diplomat currently responsible for Brazilian diplomacy in the Asia-Pacific region, Ambassador Graça Lima previously served in roles such as Brazil's Permanent Representative at the Brazilian Mission to the European Communities, as well as Consul General of Brazil in New York and Los Angeles.
China has been Brazil's chief trading partner since 2009 and one of its main sources of foreign direct investment. Last May, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang signed agreements committing over US$50 billion in investments to help overhaul Brazil's aging infrastructure.
