Founding Anniversary and Holiday Luncheon: You’re invited

We are thrilled to announce that Gabrielle Mandel will receive the 2024 Founders Award. This honor, bestowed by the Brazil-Florida Business Council, recognizes members and friends who have provided distinguished service to this esteemed international business group.

Gabrielle Mandel serves as a Country Manager for the Latin America and Caribbean region at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). In this capacity, she is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA activities in Brazil and the Southern Cone region. Ms. Mandel also manages the highly regarded U.S.-Brazil Aviation Partnership and co-leads the aviation sector team at USTDA.

Prior to joining USTDA, Ms. Mandel was with the U.S. Energy Association where she managed utility, transmission, and regulatory partnerships in Africa, Latin America, and the Philippines.

Ms. Mandel holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations, with a concentration in International Development from the Elliott School of the George Washington University. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from The University at Albany, where she graduated with honors in Latin American Studies. Ms. Mandel speaks Portuguese and Spanish. She  resides in Tampa with her husband and two sons.

Gabrielle Mandel delivered the keynote address at the inaugural luncheon of the Brazil-Florida Business Council in March 2015, and since then, she has been an unwavering supporter of the BFBC's mission to create investment opportunities in Brazil for American companies. As we celebrate the bicentennial of U.S.-Brazil diplomatic and economic relations this year, the BFBC is delighted to acknowledge Ms. Mandel’s significant contributions to strengthening the relationship between our nations.
