A members-only luncheon invitation with Ambassador Marco Farani
It is our distinct pleasure to invite you to an exclusive luncheon in honor of Ambassador Marco Farani, who has recently assumed his role as the Consul General of Brazil in Miami.
Born in the State of Espírito Santo, he joined the Brazilian diplomatic service in 1981 after completing the Diplomatic Career Training Program at the Rio Branco Institute. Throughout more than four decades of public service, he has built extensive experience in political, economic, cultural, and consular affairs in Brazil and abroad.
Overseas, he served at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York; at the Brazilian Embassies in Tokyo and Beijing; and as Consul General of Brazil in Tokyo. Most recently, he served as Ambassador of Brazil to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and as Permanent Representative of Brazil to the international organizations based in London.
In Brasília, he held several senior positions, including Advisor to the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, Special Advisor to the Vice President of the Republic, Director-General of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), and Director of the International Relations Secretariat of the Federal Senate Presidency.
In addition to his diplomatic career, he has played a significant role in promoting Brazilian culture, having founded and directed Cine Academia and created and directed the Brasília International Film Festival (FicBrasília).
