"A atividade global de Fusões e Aquisições (M&A, na sigla em inglês) quebrou recorde histórico em 2021, superando com folga a marca anterior de quase 15 anos atrás.

O valor das operações, em termos globais, atinge em 2021, pela primeira vez, os US$ 5,6 trilhões. Houve crescimento de cerca de 65% nos volumes, de acordo com dados da Dealogic. O resultado é 27% maior do que o antigo recorde de US$ 4,4 trilhões, estabelecido em 2007, ano pré-crise financeira."
